Maintenance work
We are replacing the pumps, pipework and panel at Palmersgill sewer pumping station
We are carrying out maintenance work at Palmersgill Sewage Pumping Station in Eaglesfield which requires a road closure.
Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, 5 May 2025 for up to five days to replace the pumps, pipework and panel.
In order to carry this work out safely, the road through Eaglesfield will be closed just before the access road to Springkell House. Traffic will be diverted by Waterbeck on the B722.
More information including details of the road closure can be accessed in the letter below, which has been issued to the local community. Residents should not see any impact to their water and waste water facilities during our work.
Due to limited space, some of our vehicles will be parked at the side of the road to allow for the arrival of relevant materials to site.
We appreciate the road closure will cause some disruption for road users and pedestrians but can only thank them for their patience and understanding while we carry out this essential work.
