Hope Street Sewer Repair
Down to One Lane
Hope Street is reduced to one lane between West George Street and West Regent Street
Hope Street in Glasgow City Centre has been reduced to one lane to allow us to carry out an essential sewer repair.
Traffic management is in place between West George Street and West Regent Street. West Regent Lane is closed to all vehicles between Renfield Street and Hope Street.
Work started on Monday 6 January 2025 and is expected to last approximately eight weeks.
A phased lane reduction starts at the St Vincent Street junction
Local businesses are open as usual
The work is urgently needed to address internal sewer flooding and we are doing all that we can to carry it out as quickly and safely as possible. All footpaths and businesses are open as usual.
We appreciate it will be inconvenient for people living in and travelling through the city centre. We are working with affected businesses and residents to minimise the impact of the works and we would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.
Some delays are expected, and road users are being advised to plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys.
