Emergency Repairs on Langlea Road, Cambuslang, G72 8ES

We would like to let customers and road users know that we have identified a sinkhole beside the footpath of Langlea Road, close to Cathkin High School in Cambuslang. Our team have created an exclusion zone around the sinkhole to maintain public safety and allow our teams to resolve and repair the cause of this, which may cause some restrictions. 

The school bus terminals are currently closed, however the access road into the school is currently unaffected. There is an alternative footpath on the other side of the roundabout, and emergency services access is also unaffected.

We expect work to be completed within the next 2 weeks.

We would reassure all impacted customers that we will work as quickly and safely as possible to minimise any inconvenience or disruption these works may cause.
