Investigating Loss of Supply to Customers in Kilbarchan

5 Stage process

Stage 5 - Final Update

Posted: Saturday 6th July 2024 - 15:00

We have repaired a burst water main on Kilbarchan Road, which was causing an interruption to water supplies for customers in the Kilbarchan area.

Work has been completed and supply restored to normal. Anyone who experiences discoloured water should run the cold kitchen tap at half pressure until the water runs clear.

The road closure on Kilbarchan Road between the Kilbarchan Road & Cochranemill Road roundabout and the slip road for the A737 will remain in place until reinstatement can be completed.

Because of its location – on a bridge – a full assessment needs to be carried out first which will take place tomorrow. Until then we would ask road users to continue to follow the diversion.

We would like to thank everyone who has been affected for their patience and understanding.
