What to expect
Most of the work is being carried out on private land next to Forest Road, with no impact on residents, road users, or local businesses.
However; to allow for the installation of a brand-new water main, a section of Forest Road will be closed from Tuesday, 13 May, for approximately 13 weeks.
A diversion route through Redwood Road will be signposted during the road closure.
Access to local businesses – including the Esso Garage on Forest Road – will still be available during the works.
There will also be a temporary closure to a footpath. The first 70 metres of the footpath from Forest Road leading to Palacerigg will be closed from Monday, 31 March for approximately five weeks.
