A city street is closed off for construction, with barricades, traffic cones, and a sign reading "Road Closed." Construction machinery is visible in the background, and scaffolding covers a nearby building. The weather is wet, with rain making the pavement glisten. Residential buildings line both sides of the street.

We are currently carrying out an urgent repair in the Haymarket area of Edinburgh.

We have been carrying out investigations on a damaged section of sewer beneath Rosebery Crescent close to its junction with Haymarket Terrace.

Due to the size of the pipe and the depth it is buried – three metres – we have to close part of the road to be able to carry out the work safely.

From Monday 7 October 2024 Rosebery Crescent will be closed to all vehicles between Haymarket Terrace and Roseberry Crescent Lane. There is a diversion in place, we would ask all road users to please follow the signs in place.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout this repair work and customers are still able to access the car park off Rosebery Crescent Lane.

We would like to thank everyone affected for their patience and understanding.

A busy street is partially blocked off for construction, with several utility trucks and construction vehicles parked near a corner building. Traffic is flowing on the left side of the road, while the right side is closed, marked by "Bus Stop" and lane markings on the wet pavement. The weather is rainy, and pedestrians are walking on the sidewalk.
