Scottish Water are carrying out sewer investigation work on Corstorphine Road in Edinburgh.

To allow this work to go ahead safely, there will be temporary lane closures on Corstorphine Road, at the junction of Ormidale Terrace effective from Monday 10th June, for 3 weeks.

There will be no use of traffic lights, instead we will use a contraflow system to try and minimise disruption. It will firstly be the bus lanes that are closed then the contraflow will switch to the outside lanes with both buses and cars diverted into the bus lane as the normal traffic lane.

A section of Ormidale Terrace and Abinger Gardens will also be closed and there will be no access via Corstorphine Road. Diversion routes will be in place through Murrayfield Gardens and Murrayfield Road.

Residents have all been provided with a notification letter, which I have attached to this email.

This is to allow Scottish Water to carry out investigations on the sewer network to help plan for future improvement works which will enhance the water environment in the Water of Leith.

We would like to thank customers and road users for their understanding while we carry out this essential work on the sewer network.

Our contractor Caledonia Water Alliance will carry out these works on our behalf.
