Road Traffic Management
Road users in Lesmahagow are being advised of some road traffic management to enable upgrades on the water network.
From Monday 18 September, a short stretch of Carlisle Road (the slip-road, not the main B7078 Carlisle Road) off Milton Bridge will be closed to through traffic to enable a new section of water pipe to be installed safely.
The road closure is expected to be in place for around two weeks, with the entire works taking around six weeks and coming to an end in Pathfoot Smithy.
Road traffic management has been agreed in conjunction with South Ayrshire Council.
Road users are advised to leave extra time for travel and follow the diversion in place.
