What We are Doing
Works will be separated into three phases:
- Phase one will start at the junction of Moor Road, Kirkton Moor Road and Alnwick Drive. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation for this phase.
- Phase two will move to Alnwick Drive, from the junction adjacent to 27 Moor Road.
- Phase three will be at the junction of Moor Road, Polnoon Street and Alnwick Drive. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation for this phase.
To upgrade the water pipe on Alnwick Drive, phased 100-metre sections of the road will be closed during daytime hours. The road will be plated and re-opened to vehicles at the end of the working day.
Essential access for emergency vehicles and pedestrian access to residents' properties will be maintained.
We'll do our best to minimise noise from construction equipment during the works.
Residents may experience a change in water pressure and/or discoloured water. If this happens, do not be alarmed, turn on the cold water tap in your kitchen and let the water flow slowly until it runs clear.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this essential work.
