Cowcaddens Road Glasgow Emergency Repair

Lane Closure Lifted
The full road closure has been lifted. One lane is now open in each direction under temporary traffic lights for ongoing civic amenity works
We have completed our emergency repairs after a sinkhole was discovered on Cowcaddens Road in Glasgow city centre.
The carriageway has been fully reinstated and the full road closure lifted.
The site has been returned to the contractors carrying out civic amenity work and their original traffic management arrangements. One lane is open in each direction on Cowcaddens Road with four-way traffic lights in operation at its junctions with Hope Street and Cambridge Street.
We would like to thank road users and residents for their patience and understanding while we carried out this emergency work, particularly given the location and the potential for delays.
