We are replacing 5.8km of old 4” PVC pipe with 160mm HPPE (plastic)
The main connects from the Peterhead to Ellon trunk main, also due to be replaced by CWA under a separate project.
What are we doing?
We are replacing 5.8km of water main, predominantly through arable land. The main connects from the Peterhead to Ellon trunk main, also due to be replaced by CWA under a separate project.
Why we are doing this?
The existing water main is ageing, resulting in an increasing number of bursts, affecting reliability of supplies to customers. Replacing the water main will ensure we can continue to provide fresh water to the local community, far into the future.
