Burn Road

Road closure

Culduthel Road will be closed for around 2 weeks from Wednesday 26 June to allow the new sewer on Burn Road to be connected into the network

What We Are Doing

We are working to address sewer flooding issues affecting Burn Road in Inverness.

The project will see the construction of a new CSO (combined sewer overflow) chamber and a new sewer.

To allow the new sewer to be safely connected in to the network, a road closure will be in place on Culduthel Road from Wednesday 26 June for approximately 2 weeks at the junction with Burn Road and Cauldeen Road. No bus services will be affected.

We understand Culduthel Road is a well-used route through the city for many residents and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this closure.  Our project team will do all they can minimise the impact of this as far as possible.

Signposted local diversions will be in place, and pedestrian access will be maintained where possible. We would like to thank residents and road users for their patience and understanding while we carry out this work.

The project is being delivered on behalf of Scottish Water by Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA) and contractors Pat Munro Ltd.
