Clarkston Sewer Repair

We are carrying out work in the Clarkston area of Glasgow to reline and replace a section of strategic sewer.

The existing 600mm pipe running parallel to Busby Road and the White Cart Water (on the opposite side of the rail line from Busby Glen) is in a poor condition due to tree root damage.

We will be carrying out relining and replacement works but first need to remove approximately a dozen trees and Japanese Knotweed from the site.

Permission has been granted by East Renfrewshire Council and we plan to begin repair works on the sewer itself in mid-June. The lining and replacement of the section of sewer will then take approximately twelve weeks. We will be tree replanting once completed although not along the line of the sewer.

Access to the site will be from Lower Mill Road and we have already been in contact with local businesses. The road will need to be closed for up to three days at its lower end, but this will not affect Linwood Bakery.
