Sewer upgrade work at Windhill and Muir of Ord

Construction of a new sewer will begin at the site of Windhill pumping station

What happens next

Construction of approximately 1.7km of new sewer will be carried out on a rolling basis starting from Windhill pumping station off the A862. Most of the works will be carried out in private or rural land. All working areas will be securely fenced off to ensure the safety of the public and our site team.

There are two sections where we cross the A862. These sections will be carried out by drilling the new pipe underneath the road. This will mean there will be no disruption to traffic on the A862. There is a section of work along the access road to the south of the industrial estate where we require to install the pipe along the road. Our site team will liaise with anyone affected regards vehicle access and pedestrian access.

During the works there may be noise from construction activities as we construct the new sewer. Our contractor Pat Munro Construction Ltd. will be carrying out this work on our behalf and they will do all they can to keep disruption to a minimum as much as possible.

We thank the community for their patience, understanding and co-operation in advance of these essential works to the sewer network.
