South Queensferry Sewer Upgrade
Shoreline Sewer
A section of pipe running beneath the beach has been replaced.
We have completed our emergency repair and investment project on a burst rising sewer main in the private car park off Gote Lane in South Queensferry.
Due to the poor condition of the pipe we needed to replace approximately 120 metres of sewer along the beachfront and Gote Lane itself.
It was a challenging repair, with the pipe situated approximately three metres underground and close to the sea wall and adjacent properties.
Gote Lane and the beach have now fully reopened.
