Rosebery Crescent Road Closure

The next phase of works to repair the sewer along Rosebery Crescent requires a closure on a section of the road.

We are set to commence the second phase of essential sewer repair works in Rosebery Crescent, Edinburgh, following the successful completion of upgrades to the waste water infrastructure at the end of last year.

We plan to begin this second phase of work on Monday 20 January 2024, which involves repairing a damaged 450mm sewer pipe.

To ensure the safety of the public and workers, a section of Rosebery Crescent will be temporarily closed during this time, with the closure moving north of Rosebery Crescent Lane as the project progresses.

Diversion routes will be clearly signposted, and pedestrian access will remain unaffected throughout the repair work. Vehicle access to Rosebery Crescent Lane will also be maintained to ensure businesses and car parks continue to operate as normal.

A spokesperson for Scottish Water said, “These works are vital to ensure the continued reliability of the local waste water network.

“We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we complete this necessary work as safely and efficiently as possible.”

At this stage, it is not possible to say how long the works will take, but we are committed to keeping the public updated as the work progresses.

Our delivery partner, Clancy, will carry out the works, which are planned to progress in phases to minimise disruption.
